FC Dallas Juniors Open League Play

The FC Dallas Juniors began their year long season last Saturday, September 20th by splitting games with Andromeda on the road.  The teams are part of the USSF Developmental Academy League which is comprised of 74 of the best soccer clubs from around the country.  The U16 and U18 FC Dallas Juniors played the Andromeda U16 and U18 teams at the Andromeda Complex with FC Dallas winning the U16 contest and dropping the U18 game.  Both FC Dallas Juniors teams showed very well and played an entertaining attacking brand of soccer and are now preparing for their next contests which will take place on the road in San Antonio and Austin over the weekend of October 11 and 12.

The U16 game was played at a very fast pace with FC Dallas coming out on top by a score of 3-2.  Two goals were scored by Bryan Leyva and another added by Darin Kruzich.  The starting eleven were Nelson Morales, Tony Cruz, Daniel Premenko, Jacob Gerondale, Giovanni Gomez, Jose Perez, Chris Figueroa, Victor Ulloa, Bryan Leyva, Darin Kruzich, and Ruben Luna.  The U18 game was a hard fought game with FC Dallas losing the contest 2-0.  The game was 0-0 until Andromeda was able to break through in the 76th minute with a goal.  Two minutes later, Kalon Parman was issued a second yellow card and FC Dallas went down a man, playing with ten for the final 15 minutes.  Andromeda was able to add a second goal in stoppage time against a shorthanded FC Dallas team.  Starters in the U18 game were Jaime Ibarra, Cody Adams, Forrest Harrington, Jael Barrera, Kalon Parman, Damian Rosales, Alexei Reyes, Joshua Hernandez, Nate Dombrowski, Jesus Gamino, and Bradlee Baladez.
