Dawn returned to the North Texas area in 2005 after being Head Coach at Duquesne University and an assistant coach at top Division 1 collegiate programs including Fairfield University, the University of Alabama, Mississippi State, UNC-Wilmington, and Virginia Commonwealth.
A 1995 graduate from North Carolina with a degree in history, Dawn was a four-year letter winner for the Tar Heels from 1991 to 1994 as a defender. Over her collegiate career, she helped lead UNC to four national championship titles, a 97-1-1 overall record, three undefeated seasons and four Atlantic Coast Conference championship crowns. Upon graduation, she was listed among UNC's top 25 in career assists. Dawn was named an honorable mention All-America by Soccer News in 1993 and played for the U.S. National "B" Team from 1992 to 1996.
A two-time All-America and all-star selection as a prep, she played for Plano High School from 1988 to 1991 and was a member of the Texas Longhorns Youth National Championship Team in 1991.
Dawn also served as a staff member for the Region I ODP program and coached the Girls U-15 Western PA ODP state team. She holds a USSF "B" coaching license.
