- My son/Daughter plays recreational soccer. I have heard about Academy, can you tell me about it?
Academy Soccer focuses primarily on individual skill development. The goal of Academy soccer is to prepare players for a club soccer environment for their later years. It is designed for the more competitive player, and the more committed families. It usually has licensed coaches, and has more travel /expenses involved.
- What does the FC Dallas Academy program have to offer?
FC Dallas is focused on player development. We are striving to create a solid learning experience by eliminating the “must win” stress placed on the player and team.
FC Dallas has a unique Player Development system consisting of four levels in which follow our curriculum of developing creative and confident soccer players through out each stage of transition through. We recognize that the Academy Level is the first and most important stage in structuring player development.
- Ok, sounds great! How do I get involved? How do I attend a practice?
The list of coaches for our Academy teams can be found on http://www.fcdallasyouth.net/.
After locating the appropriate coaches, please feel to contact them for information on practice times and locations.
We may have more than one team in one age group. One team may be more convenient geographically than another.
In order to contact the appropriate coach, you will need to know which age bracket your child falls under which is determined by their birthday.
- How do I know what age bracket my child falls under?
If your child was born between:
Aug 1, 1998 - July 31. 1999 = U11/99 playing year
Aug 1, 1999 - July 31. 2000 = U10/00 playing year
Aug 1, 2000 - July 31. 2001 = U9/01 playing year
Aug 1, 2001 - July 31. 2002 = U8/02 playing year
Aug 1, 2002 - July 31. 2003 = U7/03 playing year
Aug 1, 2003 - July 31. 2004 = U7/03 playing year
- I’m having trouble with the website and locating an Academy coach. Who should I contact?

- I have attended a few practices; my son/daughter loves it! How do I register and commit to the season?
You will express to the coach that you are interested in participating with FC Dallas for the season. The team manager/coach will be able to talk with you about how you can register and make your payments for the season.
- How do I go about purchasing a uniform?
Your team manager/coach will collect sizes /jersey numbers at the start of the season, and will turn a team uniform order into FC Dallas. If you sign up after the season begins, or required additional uniforms orders you can either:
